After a lifetime spent among waves and distant ports, the sea continues to set the rhythm of my story. My name is Carmine Ercolano. I was Chief Engineer on cruise ships, with over 35 years of experience in the Mediterranean, Northern Europe, the Norwegian fjords, the Caribbean, South America, South Africa, Australia, and Asia, completing three trips around the world.
The idea and project of the boat Capitan San Pietro were born after the difficult period of the 2019–2021 pandemic, when the entire world seemed to come to a halt in the face of an unprecedented tragedy.
During that time, I felt the need to create something of my own. So I bought a small boat with its original fishing license, which had belonged to an old fisherman, and was originally named San Pietro. Inspired by the figure of the Apostle Peter, the first fisherman and a symbol of strength and faith, I decided to transform the boat and give it new life, christening it Capitan San Pietro in honor of the most famous and determined of fishermen.

The construction of the boat was entrusted to Antonio Mileo, a master boatbuilder from a family of fishing boat craftsmen in Santa Maria di Castellabate, on the stunning Cilento Coast. Together, we decided to create a vessel of inestimable beauty: a Sorrentine fishing boat, but with all the comforts of a charter yacht. The goal was to offer guests not only an elegant boat, but also one that is safe, comfortable, and enjoyable, capable of turning every day at sea into an unforgettable experience, discovering picturesque locations and unique panoramas in the magical Land of the Sirens.
